This is the second time I\'ve visited and I was just as delighted and interested this time around.', 'On our way to the Grand Canyon, we made a stop at the Little Colorado River Gorge overlook.', 'Self-portrait trio #8, I believe.', 'Kind of a stepping stone to the Grand Canyon, insofar as views and dropoffs.', 'Not technically a self-portrait, but nice to have a shot of the three of us with a more panoramic background', 'Though we had only the afternoon and early evening to spend at the Grand Canyon, and it was pretty hazy, that didn\'t stop us from really exploring the South Rim.', 'The girls at the Lookout Tower.', 'Yup: pretty grand, alright.', 'Sun behind Lookout Tower on the edge of the canyon rim.', 'Hmm, it appears that someone took a lot of photos of the Grand Canyon, so buckle in.', 'At the top room of the Lookout Tower the views are pretty grand, too.', 'Admiring the view.', 'I switched lenses quite a bit as we moved along the rim. I really like the expression on my younger daughter\'s face here, even though I wouldn\'t say it\'s one of happiness.', '', 'I kind of dig this one.', 'After listening to this ranger give a lecture on the Grand Canyon\'s successful condor reintroduction program, the girls take the pledge and get their badges!', '', 'Look closely and, lo and behold!, you\'ll see a codor!', 'These are amazing birds, and though these shots are of far away, they first flew in about twenty feet over our heads: close enought to read their wing tags.', 'The condors have about a nine-foot wingspan.', 'The reintroduction program is a result of capturing that last known California condor and breeding it with Andean condors.', 'Long light of the canyon.', 'Taking a break after excitedly spotting the condors.', 'Pretty good ice cream at the canyon\'s rim.', 'Let\'s end with a handful of Grand Canyon shots...', '', '', '', 'The warm and fleeting afternoon light changes the way the canyon looks by the second.', 'A last, long look back at the Grand Canyon before the even longer drive down to Tucson.
