Dear Subaru,

In 2006 I bought my first Subaru, an Outback XT. I loved it, though sold it after a few years to get something with a little better gas mileage (a decision I regretted pretty much immediately). On one of my many treks in that blue beauty, though, I took it on a Forest Service “road” marked not for passenger cars. Fast forward several years, and Subaru asked to use that in an advertising campaign called “Dear Subaru,”. And here’s that photo. It was great fun, and I continue to be a big Subaru fan, even a dozen years later.
